| Praying God's Promises Worry |
| I will not let my heart be troubled. I trust in God. John 14:1 Personalized I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make me stumble. Psalm 119:165 Personalized You will keep in perfect peace me whose mind is steadfast, because I trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 Personalized I will not worry about my life, what I will eat or drink; or about my body, what I will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet my heavenly Father feeds them. Am I not much more valuable than they? Can I, by worrying, add a single hour to my life? And why do I worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell myself that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe me? So I will not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and my heavenly Father knows that I need them. I will seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to me as well. Therefore I will not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Matthew 6:25-34 Personalized Peace Christ left with me; his peace he gives me. He does not give to me as the world gives. I will not let my heart be troubled and I will not be afraid. John 14:27 Personalized I cast all my anxiety on him because he cares for me. 1 Peter 5:7 Personalized My God will meet all my needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Personalized I will not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present my requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Personalized I will let the peace of Christ rule in my heart, since . . . I was called to peace. And I will be thankful. Colossians 3:15 Personalized |
