Uniting in Prayer
for Your Pastor and Your Church
Wednesday's Prayer
I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise; I give thanks to You and praise Your name. For You,
O Lord, are good and Your love endures forever. (Psalm 100:4-5)

                                            Selah

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my
Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14) I call on the promise of Your Word: For no matter how many promises God has made, they
are "Yes " in Christ. And so through Him the "Amen " is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20) Before I
call, answer; while I am still speaking, hear. (Isaiah 65:24)

Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of myself. (Psalm 102:1) I pray for myself, that my God may count me worthy
of His calling, and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith. I
pray this so that the Name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in me, and me in Him, according to the grace of our God
and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of my church. (Psalm 102:1) May they be joined with the prayers of the saints
of our church, rising as incense before Your throne. (Revelation 8:3-4)

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give us a spirit of unity among ourselves as we follow Christ
Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Empower us to
accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted us, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:5-7)

Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of our Pastor. (Psalm 102:1) May they also be joined with the prayers of the
saints of our, rising as incense before Your throne. (Revelation 8:3-4)

I pray our pastor would humble himself/herself before You, and You will lift him/her up. (James 4:10) Instruct and teach
him/her in the way he/she should go; counseling and watching over him/her. (Psalm 32:8) Whether he/she turns to the
right or to the left, let his/her ears hear Your voice behind him/her, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)
As he/she walks, guide him/her; when he/she sleeps, watch over him/her; when he/she is awake, speak to him/her .
(Proverbs 6:22)

Help him/her to trust in You with all his/her heart and lean not on his/er own understanding, but in all his/her ways
acknowledge You. Make his/her paths straight; (Proverbs 3:5-6) make his/her steps firm; though he/she stumble,
he/she will not fall, for You will uphold him/her with Your hand. (Psalm 37:23-24)
Empower him/her to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than
himself/herself; looking  not only to his/her own interests, but also to the interest of others. (Philippians 2:3)

May love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that he/she may be able to discern what is best
and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus
Christ. (Philippines 1:9-11)

I pray that our pastor will be a shepherd of Your flock that is under his/her care, serving as an overseer - not because
he/she must, but because he/she is willing, as You want him/her to do; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not
lording it over those entrusted to him/her; but being an example to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears,
he/she will receive the crown of glory that will never fade. (1 Peter 5:2-4)

Fill him/her with wisdom and knowledge to lead this people; (2 Chronicles 1:10) helping the church spur one another
on toward love and good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24)

Empower him/her to keep watch over this church. Help us to obey him/her so that his/her work will be a joy, not a
burden; (Hebrews 13:17) that this congregation would be his/her joy and crown - his/her delight. Empower him/her to
love us deeply; (Philippians 4;1) and enjoy the favor of all the people. (Acts 2:47).

The Lord bless our pastor and keep him/her; the Lord make His face shine upon him/her and be gracious to him/her;
the Lord turn His face toward him/her and give him/her peace. (Numbers 6:24-26) May the grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with him/her always. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

In Jesus Name I Pray,
Amen
