Uniting in Prayer for Your Pastor and Your Church Thursday's Prayer
|
I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise; I give thanks to You and praise Your name. For You,
O Lord, are good and Your love endures forever. (Psalm 100:4-5)
Selah
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my
Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14) I call on the promise of Your Word: For no matter how many promises God has made, they
are "Yes " in Christ. And so through Him the "Amen " is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20) Before I
call, answer; while I am still speaking, hear. (Isaiah 65:24)
Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of myself. (Psalm 102:1) This is my prayer: that my love may abound more
and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and
blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and
praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of my church. (Psalm 102:1). May they be joined with the prayers of the saints
of our church, rising as incense before Your throne. (Revelation 8:3-4)
I thank God for my church because of His grace given us in Christ Jesus. For in Him we have been enriched in every
way-in all our speaking and in all our knowledge- because the testimony about Christ was confirmed in us. Therefore
we do not lack any spiritual gift as we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep us strong to
the end, so that we will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called us into fellowship with
His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. (1 Corinthians 1:4-9)
Holy Father, protect us by the power of Your name - the Name You gave-so that we may be one as You are one. My
prayer is not that You take us out of the world but that You protect us from the evil one. Sanctify us by the truth; Your
word is truth. (John 17:11/15/17)
Hear my prayer, O Lord lifted on behalf of our Pastor. (Psalm 102:1) May they also be joined with the prayers of the
saints of our church, rising as incense before Your throne. (Revelation 8:3-4)
I pray he/she would not be ashamed of the Gospel. (Romans 1:16) Help him/her to diligently study the Scriptures.
(John 5:39) Bless him/her as he/she reads Your Word, taking to heart what is written in it. (Revelation 1:3)
Lord, surely You desire truth in his/her inner parts. Teach him/her wisdom in the inmost place; (Psalm 51:6) sending
forth Your light and Your truth (Psalm43:3), with Your Word as a lamp to his/her feet and a light for his/her path.
(Psalm 119:105)
Help him/her to rejoice in following Your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. Empower him/her to meditate on Your
precepts and consider Your ways; to delight in Your decrees; and not neglect Your word. Do good to Your servant,
that he/she will live and obey Your word. Open his/her eyes that he/she may see wonderful things in your law. (Psalm
119:14-18)
Let Your Word not depart from his/her mouth. Empower him/her to meditate on it day and night; (Joshua 1:8),
becoming alive and active; sharper than any double-edged sword; penetrating - even dividing soul and spirit, joints
and marrow; judging the thoughts and attitudes of his/her heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
I pray that he/she would do his/her best to present himself/herself to You as one approved, a workman who does not
need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
I pray that his/her message and his/her preaching not be with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of
the Spirit's power, so that our faith might not rest on man's wisdom, but on God's power. (1 Corinthians 2:4) When
he/she opens his /hermouth, give him/her words so he/she will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.
(Ephesians 6:19) I lift up these words that they come with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. (1
Thessalonians 1:5)
Let the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord rest upon him/her, because the Lord has anointed him/her to preach good news
to the poor. Empower him/her to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from
darkness for the prisoners. . . to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve. (Isaiah 61:1-3)
The Lord bless him/her and keep him/her; the Lord make His face shine upon him/her and be gracious to him/her; the
Lord turn His face toward him/her and give him/her peace. (Numbers 6:24-26) May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with him/her always. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
In Jesus Name I Pray,
Amen
